The challenge
Community organizations run a surprising amount of operation: a public website, donations and payments, programs and events, on-site check-ins, outreach to members, and the records that tie it all together. In practice this work is usually spread across disconnected tools, spreadsheets, and manual processes — which makes it slow, error-prone, and hard to see clearly.
Sahasra set out to bring all of it onto one system: a single record, one brand, and one ledger that an organization can actually run on.
What we built
GMK Group built Sahasra end to end — design, engineering, and deployment — as a multi-tenant platform where each organization gets its own secure, branded space. The modules share one underlying record:
- Branded websites — public sites with donations live on day one.
- Giving & payments — contributions backed by a treasurer-grade ledger, powered by Stripe Connect.
- Scheduling & events — programs and a single shared calendar.
- On-site kiosks — self-serve check-in and giving (card, tap, and UPI).
- Outreach & member directory — a unified record of every member and interaction.
- AI-guided analytics — ask questions of the data in plain language, with tenant boundaries and role-aware access built in.
How we engineered it
Sahasra is a multi-tenant SaaS platform, so isolation and trust were design constraints from the start, not afterthoughts. Every record is org-scoped; access is role-aware; and the system was built to be auditable and encrypted throughout. Payments run on Stripe Connect so each organization manages its own funds with a clean ledger.
The AI layer was added responsibly: analytics respect the same tenant boundaries and permissions as the rest of the platform, so a question asked of the data can never cross an organization's walls. This is the bar GMK builds everything to — production-first systems with the guardrails to be trusted with real operations and real money.
The outcome
Sahasra is live in production, and the company is onboarding its own clients onto it. What used to live across half a dozen disconnected tools now runs on one platform — websites, giving, scheduling, kiosks, outreach, and analytics — under a single brand and a single source of truth.
